vermiculite

I am looking for a vermiculite supplier in Ontario Canada. My pad is 40X64 @ 4" thick. At a 5:1 mixing rate I believe I need about 8 cubic feet if my math is correct. Please correct my math if I have made an error
Thanks,

I get 5.92 CuFt.
Edit- 40x64x4=10240/1728=5.92
(12x12x12=1728)

I also get 5.92, but I always figure double due to shrinkage. It comes in 4 cubic foot bags, so personally I'd get 3

Ooops
Forgot that I had to multiply by the thickness and then divided by 144 for sq/ft Guess if I can find about 10 cu/ft then I will heave enough to cover the dome when I am done

For the supplier you can try Uline; uline.ca
HD Supplies will have perlite which for your use will give the same result.
How big will your oven be? I use 9 qft for a 32" oven. I am concern that your 10 qft will not be enough for oven floor and oven dome.

After spending a afternoon on the phone I have found some at a co-op an hour or so away. $16.58/ 3.8 cu ft bag. It is medium grade/size. This sounds like my best option and they have skids of it so I can always get more as needed
I am trying to squeeze a 32" oven onto my pad.

I would say you need 6 or 7 bags.
