Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto #1-Grigory Sokolov
This piece is very personal.
On a trip to Russia I went to visit Tchaikovsky's grave. It was an open area, no radios or any hidden speakers. As I stood there I swear I could hear music. After a few minutes I summoned up the courage to ask the guide if I was hearing music to which he responded "yes you are."
As I continued to listen I could pick out piano solos and an orchestra but I did not recognize the piece at first. Then in a Victor Borge moment it sounded like the Piano Concerto #1 backwards! I told the guide what I heard and he said "you're absolutely right-he's decomposing."
