Headphones on at my desk at work listening to Have one on me by Joanna Newsom. My day job doesn't require any real thought, so if I'm not listening to music, it's probably a book on CD.

AOL free Radio (Slacker) and what I am listening to right now is Oldies Hits "shake, rattle and roll to those '50s and '60s classics". I listen to different kinds of music different times, but usually music is always on in where I live and when driving. I also am listening to the air purifier.

Yeah, me too. High-pitched squeal in the right along with underlying white noise in both. Too many years of hanging drywall, I think. First using a hammer and then a screw gun, all day every day. That and playing in rock bands for several years.
Music helps take my mind off it but it never stops. Sucks!

Right now, besides tinitis, I'm listening to the first cd by "Psychograss"

You have a 19 yr old kid Craig? From your picture you dont look that old unless you had kids really young. I didnt decide to have kids till i was in my 30's.

Possibly, Craig meant that he has somehow, for some reason, tuned out peace and quiet. 19 years ago.

Yeah, something like that. I think the phrase you were looking for though is "for whom the bell tolls."
