I don't think that it's a fair comparison to compare Fleetwood Mac with and without Peter Green. I like them both, but they are so different and two different genres, so it's like comparing apple to oranges.

True enough, just the blues thing coming out of me I guess

Does 'ol Carl still have his faculties together more than could be said about Green?  Ha!  Whatever.... :-D

And YES, he just wrote a book and although a bit dated (need more of that kind of comedy) he was still quite funny! So much great stuff came out of him, too much to list!!

I agree with that statement. And believe it applies to many of our favored bands. Didn't see anyone trying to compare the Mac Attacks Don...that would be like saying who was Ozzies best guitarist. You said it right...different genres...different times/happnins... 8)

I went and saw Stevie Nicks here in T-Town back in the 80's

It was her coke smokin' daze

Joe Walsh was the back up band ... he almost got boo'd off the stage with the ... Stevie... Stevie... Stevie... Stevie Crap-O-La

She ended up falling off stage

It appeared no one in the entire audience knew who her keyboardist was ... Billy Payne

Remember when the look, or suggestion of a dirty joke or comment was funny without being outright blue. Jack Benny, Bob Hope, Red Skelton, Marx Brothers, Laurel and Hardy, Three Stooges, Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, W. C. Fields, Milton Berle................I could make a big list of the greats, just a small one here that everyone else still tries to copy and most don't even know who they are trying to copy. It's sad at work when I bring these names up and most look at the old man with a funny look not knowing that THEY are the ones missing out on not knowing what I'm talking about. Sad watching the classics fading away. Hell, the other nite they were talking on TV about a movement to save the songs and performances of the Adrews Sisters here from MN that did the WWII stuff like Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy from Co. C.....so sad, but I run on now..................

I gotta say...I have ALWAYS been a fan of Tom Jones. A PHENOMENAL singer and can still belt it out!! He has found a great genre in the blues the last several years!
