I thought for sure that had to be fake. It sounded like something you would see on The Onion News Network. Nope, it's real.

The PETA I belong to, People for Eating Tasty Animals, could have given the fish a much more meaningful memorial - a mega fish fry nobody would ever forget.

Most of what PETA puts out sounds like it belongs on the Onion. Their motive is to be so outrageous that people pay attention, but I think it backfires on them because they do it so much that almost nobody takes them seriously.

My sister had a couple of PITA "friends" that were big into the PETA thing until they stopped speaking to her because she insists on keeping her aquarium and thereby exploiting fish.

Yeah, Onion Worthy for sure. Even though it's true, it's still goofy enough to meet their muster for stupid news. I LOVE The Onion, great stuff!!!!
