Thanks John,
I must say, that these were probably the best pancakes I've ever tasted, but I can't say what, if any particular flavor was imparted by the culture. Maybe it was the syrup.

Anyway, my normal morning routine includes feeding my starter, which generally means discarding a half to 3/4 cup. So, in my typically unscientific fashion, I simply added this to my favorite batter recipe, which is an old secret that nobody knows except me and some old lady named Betty Crocker.

I simply mixed it in and made pancakes. I didn't wait or let it rise or anything, but I might try that one of these days.
Generally enough to serve 2, but yesterday it only served 1

1 cup AP flour ( I like unbleached Ceresota. That's also what I use to feed my starter)
1 cup milk
2 eggs
3/4 cup veg. oil
3/4 cup Ischia
3t baking powder
1T sugar
1t salt
BTW, if you haven't already seen it, here's an old thread on pancakes from a while back.
