Dang Norma; a sweet 'lil thing like you sure can pack it away!  :o
That was really nice of your daughter to take you out for Mothers Day dinner tonight...and such a cool place too; she knows how to treat Momma right.  8)   Hope you also got to spend time with the grand and great grand young'ins too.
Happy Mothers Day Norma...you are the best!

Thanks Bob!  I can pack it away if I want to, but usually don't.  :-D  I think all I ate today is a heart attack waiting to happen though.  I didn't get time to spend with the grand and great grand ones today, but did get time to spend with my other daughter and grand-daughter.  My mother made homemade vegetable soup today so I will get to eat some of that tomorrow with her.  ;D

Risotto made with wild garlic stock, with St George and (small) Dryad's Saddle mushrooms and wild sorrel.

edit: picture of some of the larger (not so great to eat) dryad's saddle mushrooms I came across

Bear Creek, "Creamy Wild Rice" soup, with some extra diced onion, garlic, dill, mushrooms and some cubed fish that were flash fried in olive oil and butter and a little American cheap cheese melted in to the pot at the end. If I would've thought of it sooner I would've started with some beer to give it a 'beer cheese' soup edge. About to give it a try. For pseudo instant soup mixes, Bear Creek is right up there at the top. Even without jacking it up a bit, it is very good on it's own compared to other soup mixes, canned or dry!!

A "GOOD" soup mix really gives you a shortcut to a great soup in a short time with little extra effort. The long version is always better though, but in a pinch...............

ps....turned out awesome!! A little garlic toasted french bread on the side.......OH YEAH

This reminds me of when I was teaching my sister to make pizza long distance through texting. She sent a pic of a gorgeous pie and I got up an walked to the cupboard to get a plate out...no lie man!!   :-D  After that she would always ask me "you got your plate out yet Bobby?"  Oh boy...what a mess!!  :P

This was my meal last evening.  My mother's beef vegetable soup and a quick salad with Grande cheese.  I was too tired to post it last evening.   :-D
