Burger with cheddar cheese, jalapeno peppers and chipotle mayo. You can't beat the crust from a cast iron pan!

EXACTLY what we had tonite except I had some shredded lettuce and sliced tomato too. And you're right, the screaming hot cast iron actually beat out the grill many times for that crust that can't be beat!! Alway torn between the 2, grill of cast iron, my 40year old skillet is ahead right now :-D

Wet Burrito w/chicken gravy. I used some leftover rotisserie chicken thighs and zinged up the flavor with some spices and stuff and layered the tortilla with re-fried beans, rice and the very tasty shredded chicken filling. Also had Guacamole and chips. I'm full now, yeah.  ;D

Chicken Marsalla with black garlic and Aleppo.  The black garlic sent the sauce over the top!

The rest of part of a sub that was purchased in Hamilton, NJ.  The sub has the best Italian meats that I have ever tasted on a sub.

Norma,

Nate,

I am not sure what Italian meats were in that sub, but I think Trenton Bill told me gabagool was one of them.  The Trenton area does have a large Italian population so I guess that is why they have so many good Italian meats.  These were some of the meats in the deli case where I purchased the sub.  They slice the meats fresh when making the sub.

The last photo is of Loefflers Bologna that is made in Trenton.  I never tasted such a different Bologna before.  Our Bolognas are much different in our area.  I also purchased some of the Bologna.  There are also Loefflers hot dogs with natural casings, but they didn't carry them at that store.

White American actually.  It's a family secret.  See recipe below:

This will make a 8x10 casserole dish full

1 pound elbow noodles
1.5 lb "land of lakes" white American
2 cups milk

If needed, you want to lightly thicken sauce with a little flour then add cooked noodles.  Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.

I could care less how they do actually. Another stadium built with State tax dollars for billionaires to play their games and athletes to complain they don't get paid enough while they cheat with steroids................well, you get the drift. I like watching it and all but my 'fan fever' has waned a bit over the years!!
