I had some dough left over from an outing yesterday, so I needed to use it up. With the help of a neighbor, limited toppings, alcohol and Tom-foolery, a good time was had by all!

This was originally a 24hr idy room temp ferment, but 24 hrs later with some fridge time in between.

You guys have done a terrific job retrofitting the Airstream. Do you have a cot that you can squeeze in there somewhere

? That way you can go directly from eating and drinking to bed. No designated driver needed.

Also (sorry to double-post), I was thinking that if you are really ready to get this off to a running start, you could do a lot worse than garner some free publicity by driving into NJ and setting up shop near a shelter.
Don't sell the pies, just ask for donations, then give 1/2 the received donations to the disaster relief effort. You will make a lot more than your costs, no worries.
Make sure some media (TV station, radio station, etc) knows about it before it happens. I am 100% sure they will be all over it as a "feel-good" story.

Plus, your Xtreme Airstream deserves mega-fame!

Peter,

Steve told me the last time I was at his home for the brew makers picnic that if I drank too much he would put a cot in his Airstream so I wouldn't have to drive home. I would have liked to take Steve up on that offer, but I had dogs to let out.

Thanks, everyone, for all the kind words!

It's been a lot of work but a lot of fun building the trailer. We lifted the body off the frame in order to beef up the frame to handle the extra weight, and also installed a new heavy duty torsion axle and a new floor. The oven is a Forno Bravo casa 90, 36" floor.
Back in the 60s, shiny aluminum Christmas trees were popular. The color wheel has a built-in spotlight that would project colored light onto the tree. It works well against the white walls in the trailer. Kind of psychedelic looking.
We've had the trailer out a few times so far with fairly positive response. I honestly don't know if this will ever be anything more than a hobby business. We plan to spend the winter planning for next year and possibly expanding our menu beyond just pizza a little bit. We're fairly space limited, so we can't get too carried away.

Norma, I'm sorry you were not invited last night. I was only going to make a couple pies for my family but then Sue invited the neighbors down and Lauren showed up with her boyfriend and I ended up making eleven pizzas. If I knew it was going to be a party I'd have invited you for sure.
