Like riding a bike...or if you don't use it you lose it?
« on: November 04, 2012, 07:46:14 PM »
It's been over one year and maybe two since I've used my 2stone. Last night  decided to get back in the saddle and whip up a 12hr room temp dough.

Oh the fail.  :-[ Only had KABF. Turned one into a calzone. Used clogged propane tank and couldn't get the 2stone past 625.

Result=not my best. Still was a nice change from the pan pizzas I've been making. Hopefully it won't be so long until the next time.

Not bad - certainly not a FAIL.  What didn't you like?
I'd rather eat one good meal a day than 3 squares of garbage.

Problems were mostly shaping and loading the pizza, but by the 5th one it was coming back. I planned on baking around 750 so a 58% hydration dough at 600-625 dried out a bit. Pizzas were still good, it was more the other things that were frustrating. And my 4yo refused to eat for some reason.  >:(

Don't take it personally, buddy.  Finicky eaters are hard to cook for.  Sometimes you just gotta shrug it off.  Make the food you like.  They can have peanut butter. F 'em.  :-D :chef:
