Norton was succesfully removed last night...he has left the building.  Reboot always pauses for Mcafee box and that is agrivating...should I try killing Mcafee maybe?

There is an issue with Chrome where its own internal Flash plugin (PepperFlash) stays active after you install Adobe's Flash plugin. This will cause problems. You have to disable Pepperflash.

Are you sure that about:plugins doesn't work? It should bring up a list of installed plugins. Are you typing it correctly with the colon?

OK that is similar to the "pepper flsh" that is not compatible with chrome...correct?    I checked the disable box but there is no "enter" box/screen on this page.  I exited(with disable box remaining checked) but utube still stupid....reboot time?

Restart Chrome
Slow down there Speed...does reboot mean to push the pretty blue off button and wait at least 20 seconds before pushing the pretty blue button again?  Don, this is not going to cause my "ignore" count to sky rocket again is it?  ???  Thanks!  8)

I am new, and do not want to be rude or rock the boat. I do however see a shortcoming in your computing strategy.

I am a firm supporter of keeping your primary machine free and clear of questionable software, and instead running questionable software in a virtual box.

It would give you a few benefits over just figuring out what Norton did to your system, it would also allow you to print out more coupons than your current setup does. When there is a sale on a product, and a printable coupon, my wife heads out with 100 of them or more.

Its hard for me to explain the details now as I am one finger typing on a tablet. I will try to get back to you in the next day on how you can mitigate risk by running virtual box and dirty virtual machines, while running a clean core PC.

Google virtual machine, learn how you can make your computer as many computers as you want, and all the other computers you make live in a sandbox.

Sounds great J3ff.  I'd do it if I had any use for it.  I don't even run Wine.  :P
I'd rather eat one good meal a day than 3 squares of garbage.
