Norton anti-virus is blackmailing me?

I am not familiar with your specific issue as I never encountered in my IT career, but I would like to suggest you uninstall Norton, and use a free antivirus. Avast is my personal favorite, but there are other good ones out as well. I only recommended avast as its the one I have used the most on friends and family PC's and I am familiar with it.

I do not use antivirus on my own personal pc, but its not needed as I use Linux.

As per "da Colonel's" advice I just "removed" Norton(even though I refused to renew) it was still a "program" on my 'lil unit here. The world is a beautyfamus place once again....whew!!  :chef:

Hey Jeff..good to meet you. Thanks for your advice on simply removing Norton. Colonel Klink(Don) also recommended that to me in a PM and is perhaps why I initially thanked him...was not purposely "ignoring" you my friend. Thanks again.  ;)

Hope you also took J3ff's word about Avast.  Before I got fed up with windows and went to Linux, Avast is what I used and it worked well.

Norton is kind of famous for causing more problems than it solves.  It can be hard to successfully extract from a computer, but it sounds like you got it out ok.

What is your Internet connection speed?

Did you try updating Flash?

Another thing that you can do is pause the video for a while. The video will continue to download and you should see the progress bar continue to move to the right. Once the progress bar is far from your current viewing position, un-pause the video and it should play smoothly.

Started again...added adobe 11...my speed is fast....warner turbo,6m...gonna break down and call those jagies on the phone I guess man....dang!  >:(   :'(

Yes I am. Everything else seems to be running fine...I keep my deepoldies radio station going in the background...fine...go to utube....disaster!   been with chrome over a year now and no problemo. Do you think I should go to one of those speed sites and check my Warner turbo speed. I can snap to any site on the google browser though...it is fast.  ???

Type about:plugins in the Chrome address bar and look for "Flash" in the plugin list.

Is there more than one Flash plugin installed?

2 months ago when I switched from DSL to Warner Road Runner cable my new speed was an average of 60M....just now checking it 3 times the high is 30M.... :o

gives a "404 not found"

Should I type plugins in the "run" box?
