No!  And after re-starting, Colonel, I swear I am back about 80%...I am thinking about getting all happy an stuff....thank you Don, it's getting there. Tomorrow I am going to remove all the programs that I saw that are never even used. At least for now that damn choppynes is gone...thank God!!

Getting rid of unneeded programs is always a good idea, especially the sneaky ones that run in the background whenever you boot up.  Just make sure it's not an essential windows component.

For those that have not defragmented their PC's in a long time, They may be surprised to see how much it speeds up things... ;)

I just went into my control panel and saw a "improve performance" option. Clicked that and it did a scan to see how much space could be cleaned up on "drive C". After several minutes it said I could gain 2.7 MILLION (bytes?)....is that a lot?  ;D
Anyway, it is taking it a long time to do the job so maybe that must be a lot. We'll see....

The space it is cleaning is called "compress old files". It has been running for about 30 min now and the "progress bar" is at aprox. 3/4 the way finished. This looks hopeful...I think maybe? Fingers are crossed.

Well, after cleaning up those 2.7 millions k's of space on drive C, and then today clearing off all my desktop markers ....still no cigar.
So, I just ran a system restore...NOT the system recovery 4 cd thing that I do have for this e-machine and guess what....?  YEP! All back to good...I chose a restore point of 1 month ago figuring that gave plenty of room to backtrack this recent slow utube problem.......
I wonder why this corrected the problem.... ???

Thanks to all who tried to help me here..I really do appreciate your time/help!

I'm going to run a speed test now and see if I can get back to 60m's rather than the 30 it was dragging with the past couple evenings...
