Selling Personal Size Pizza's to go from WFO -- What to serve on?

I will soon be selling personal sized pizzas from a WFO. Should I serve them on paper plates, small pizza boxes, or something else?

How small ? Boxes get expensive I charge $1 for a box to keep people from taking one 10  feet away and sitting down and eating the pizza. Plates are hard to find more than 10" ? they do sell a cardboard disc many in sizes  which works well.

Good thought about the cardboard disks John. I believe I would try it out using one slightly larger than the pie...easier to carry. If it's a sit down catered deal...paper plates should be fine, no?
But at only 14 cents per disk as Jet Deck mentions....why not.

I suggest not buying a laminated cardboard disk, like for cakes.  The pizza bottom needs to "breathe" a bit and not be insulated (soggy).

Just reread the OP...if this is for "to go" would you not simply want to use a box?

If I needed to buy pizza boxes I would probably talk to other pizzarias and buy them in bulk. Unless I wanted personalized ones.

i found a flat bottom heavy duty chinet style plate at gordon food service. it is 10.25 overall with the flat area being 9.5 inches. the personal pie fits perfectly.it is heavy duty so the customer has a solid plate to eat off of. they are less expensive than circles.if your customer wants it to go but a 10 inch chip board box the plate will fit with a little box bulge.chip board come packed 100.if you need pricing so you can have a base when you shop pm me.

When we did the weekend pumpkin patch vending gig last month we served the pizzas on the cardboard discs as mentioned above with a checker board patterned sandwich wrap between the pie and the disc. Worked great for that event, the only real purpose for the sandwich wrap was I believe it made a better presentation. Our cost for the disc and the sandwich wrap was only about 11.5 cents per pizza. All these pizzas were eaten by customers while walking around or on one of dozens of picnic tables set up less than 20 feet away, if i were to serve for true "to go" I would definately go with the boxes, just price pies as needed to cover cost. Boxes we use are about 22 cents each from resteraunt depot.

Ok somebody with plenty of time please find me alink to a nice firm 12" plate
I can get them in 10" the raised lip allows for the steam to escape. With the discs yes need to breath but they get eaten hot and fresh. The "style" ( cma again) of pizza I make does not travel or reheat well in my pinion so I discourage the full on box  but some will not leave without one,

John, Kitchen is working out great. Unfortunately was so busy during the pumpkin patch event I didnt get any pictures, however a friend of mine did stop by and snap a few pictures, she is on vacation in mexico right now but when they return after Dec 5th I will get some shots from her to post....I did get a few shots of my setup at a church function we did for 120 people on Nov 17th...will get those downloaded onto my computer and post them soon.

Thanks gents! I appreciate your input.  I still have a ways to go, so I am still researching. Will probably go with the heavier 10.5" plate -- but maybe the disk with paper. Not sure yet.  I do plan to do mostly personal 9" pies so probably will not go the box route, but maybe have a few on hand -- just in case.

  Hi to all, the most inexpensive way of serving a personal pizza, is the way they do it in the Piazza in Italy,  brown soft paper, duel usage, pizza folded in half and wrapped in the  soft  paper, and after the pizza is gobled up, the soft paper is your cleanup wipe easy and simple, did that many times as a youngster in the piazza.
