Fryer Pilot won't light?

Hi. I have 2 fryers, and one of them just won't work and I've tried everything.

Specifically, the fryer pilot won't come on. I've cleaned it out, I've swapped gas lines with the one that works (the good fryer worked, the bad one didn't light still), I've replaced the combination valve.

I'm not sure what to do. I've held down the pilot and pushed it in for hours trying to get it going, I just can't get it to light. I've stuck a butane torch to it and it won't light.

You probably need a new thermocouple.

Sounds like you may have gone the expensive repair way prematurely, but that is common.
Usually it is a thermopile sensor or the high limit switch. Check this site out...hope it helps PP.
