I don't want to hijack kypizza's thread. I'm still playing around with it and will post in detail once I draw conclusions. Suffice it to say for now that I will probably raise the platform even higher. I'll post results over here:

Thanks Bill and sorry yes to the no Hi jacking will continue over there. I think the  oven  will be OK . these earthstones are built quite well!
