Curses!  Foiled again!  :-D

But seriously, WTF with this "excess" VT Pepperoni getting into TJ Maxx? Someone here know how that works? I'd like to know the provenance of these mysterious sticks......No Chinese writing on those labels, are there? :-D >:D

If you buy it by the case from the maker, it's only $3.28 a stick, IIRC.

That's not a "flashback" price is it?   ;D

Just wanted everybody to know that another source of smoked pepperoni is Oscar's Adirondack Smokehouse. http://www.oscarsadksmokehouse.com/
They have a lightly smoked pepperoni. I have not tried this. I have ordered other products.

I will vouch for Oscar's pepperoni, I buy it often and have mentioned it before in other posts. Oscar's is in Warrensburg, NY and is more of a local product, but they do offer mail order.

Just went to the Vt. Cure sight and was happy to read this:

We now offer FREE UPS Ground shipping on all orders over $50 of our non-regrigerated items (RealSticks, Summer Sausage & Smoked Pepperoni).  The order process is the same, just select "UPS GROUND ($0.00)" as your delivery method during checkout.

Very cool.  Just ordered some more pepperoni and some turkey real sticks ;D

On a sad note, I see that the last post in this old thread was by dave  :'(

I did a survey a few days ago for Vermont Smoke Pepperoni and they will give you 20% off after doing the 10min survey. Well worth it!.. Ordered a dozen sticks! ;D

Sorry for the delay,

I ordered some sticks a few months ago from them, and they sent an email for the survey, I completed it. So I made a rather large purchase. 20% off is a great deal.

Hmm, they sent me on one of those web surveys last spring after an order and i couldn't figure out if i was in the TwilightZone or was having an acid flashback (which is especially weird since i've never dropped acid). I found the aborted experience so confounding that i sent an irate email to VS and dropped their addy in my junk file.

I filled out the survey a week or 2 ago just before it expired.  I was planning on an order anyway, so what the heck.  It had to be the all time worst survey I have ever filled out.  And, it was excruciatingly long and many of the questions made no sense (forcing me, with no option to say N/A,  to tell them which product I preferred over another when I had never tried it).  So, I ended up doing a copy paste of "I cannot answer any more of this survey's nonsensical questions" over and over until I got to the end.  It went much more quickly that way and I hope someone there notices my answers so they can improve next time.  If only their survey was as good as their pepperoni.......
Mitch
