I think he posted about it here a while back. I watched the Kickstarter video back then and wasn't particularly impressed. The video has been changed since. The pie looks a little better, but it's still completely vague.

I wonder where the wood fire is? From the blowing embers I would guess way in the back, or perhaps under and in back of the cooking chamber. Since he is asking for monetary support on "kickstart", this is a project that may not get funded.

Not only did it get funded, when the funding closed, he was more than 2X his goal.

The Baking Steel overfunded by 10X. There seems to good interest in low cost ways to bake better pies.

It was posted here before alright. I reckon the fire is separate as the oven itself doesn't look that large BUT then he say's its portable!!! the sparks are blowing like it's a farriers forge

For stating that the oven gets over 800 and cooks under 3 minutes, those pizzas look so dried out and unappetizing. But the price seems right at $287 if it actually cooks that fast, but with a proper dough formulation.

Very intresting and this would be so easy to make if you have some scrap metal around.. I bet i could produce same kind
oven for 50$ easily.

I dont think it can be compared to real WFO in any way, but this shure is easy, cheap and portable.

If it cooks under 3 minutes id like to know the size and hydration of the dough. Pizzas looking very dry on photos not good at all...
