Here are the final touches for my WFO. Work was done by a local artist in Wimington, NC Roy Mended.

The oven door is steel with a stainless Serpent (my grandmother's maiden name is Serpentelli) and the Dog/Cave Canem is a version in stainless of an entryway mosaic in Pompeii, Italy.

Spectacular John. Truly one of the classiest ovens I've seen. We talk about the importance of balance in Neapolitan pizza, and I think you've brought the same spirit to life with your oven.

It has worked very nicely for me so far, yet I can see why a more pizza-centric oven such as the Acunto, SF, etc would be better in the future. When I purchased it it was BY FAR the cheapest option available.
And the "box/temple" design just fits in better with our yard aesthetics than the "dome" style ovens that now inhabit my dreams.......

Now to make more (and better) pizza. Thanks to all here in that regard. One of the best forums that I have ever been on.

Thatis the slickest artwork I  have seem on a backyard oven by far LOVE it!

mmpph --- Thank you! We would love to have you over sometime! You will have to bring your dough, ideas, and skills however! And possibly some wood as well!!

Still dealing with a 1/2 cord of some pretty wet wood, but I think its FINALLY drying out.

I will PM you and get contact info, or you can do the same, anytime.

Got the 2nd annual St. Mark Chili Cookoff tomorrow. I will post pics of my "WFO Green Chili" later! The wood definitely is hot enough to roast tomatillos, poblanos, and jalapenos!
