Hi there. Just found this forum. Belong to a couple guitar related forums, but this would be the first foody forum.
I became the pizza maker in our family about 20 years ago. Started off pretty rough but stayed at it and have gotten pretty good at it. We actually prefer my pizza over many of the local pizzerias... which is really kind of sad living so close to Chicago.
I don't make a "thin" crust. We feel a pizza should have substance so I guess you'd refer to my crust as a hand tossed. Also make a pretty mean Chicago Style that rivals the local Giordano's we have it town. Have not had the opportunity to have a Malnati's yet.
