I tried MPO with a ribed griddle last night to cook hamburgers and baked potatoes.
I got ground beef from Costco, mixed it with parsley and lemon pepper. Cooked it till internal temperature is 160F. Came out really good, very juicy. Cheese melted very quick.
Robed the potatoes with olive oil and salt. Cooked till internal temp is about 215 F. Potatoes skin was slightly chared, crispy but hard. Best potato skin I ever had. Devoured the entire potato.
I am not an experience griller, but I can tell there is added benefit in the taste with MPO , I didn't pay enough attention to cooking time, I think potatoes were cooked under 40 minutes.
MPO vent was fully open to keep food moist.
I am trying to discover and look for ways to measure MPO / girdle benefits.
