I'm a newbie to pizza making. In fact, I've only made ONE pizza so far! However, I'm trying to figure out some things before I dive fully in.
My question is: I bought some whole grain dough from trader joes I think a week ago. I'm not sure exactly how long it's been, but I know it was past the "sell by" date when I finally opened it and put it in a bowl to rise. Then i let it sit in my oven (off, obviously) just to rise for a couple of days. I covered it loosly with a piece of seran wrap and a towel. I'm not sure how long it's been but I have a feeling that it's been too long :/ It smells pretty strongly like wine. Is it still usable??
