Jerry,

I never was at Don Antonio's but I went to Keste's two times.  One time with my family and one time with forum members.  If you want to see the posts they are at Reply 26 and down http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php?topic=12388.msg117789#msg117789 and at the next group of photos I posted start at Reply http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php?topic=17070.msg166204#msg166204  I really liked Keste's pizzas.

You can also walk across the street and get another pie at John's or go around the corner to Joe's for a slice.

Thanks Craig, we have been to Johns of Bleeker many times. We never realised Keste was across the street! This trip out was for new places, so we hit Joes, Prince St Pizza and Keste.

I'll do some writing and post a few pics in the proper place sometime today hopefully and put a link http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php?topic=37959.msg379787#msg379787 here

I've been to DA within the last couple months.  It was good, but didn't blow me away.  Keste is an unknown at this point, but I plan on fixing that.

I wasn't impressed with DA.  I probably should have tried a fried pizza.  That seems to be what they're known for.

Jerry,

I would like to meet you.  Root's is only open Tuesdays.  It has been that way since 1925.

I like the vibe of keste. also, the smell of basil and heavy fermented dough permeates that small space.

That's what I heard after I had been there. I'll try that next time....that's the thing my nonna made the most.
