My latest pizza artwork
« on: March 05, 2013, 02:12:29 PM »
Hope the optimized image below shows up...
but thought I'd show you pie freaks my latest acrylic painting 16x12 titled "San Marzano".   It is the second in my Pizza gallery of fine art
with the other being "Wood Fired" and both originals hanging in our kitchen.  A few pizza shops purchased framed prints which had me stoked!

For me art is a hobby but pizza is definitely a subject close to my heart...

 ;)

Chad B, Very nice art work. I would love to see #1. I can see why they were sold.

I love your style and of course the subject!  I have a photo of a bunch of tomato cans stackup up on each other which I will post one of these days.  I really love the artwork on some of these tomato cans!

Regards,

TinRoof

Appreciate the feedback!  Yea, the tomato cans are interesting subject matter.  I did embellish a bit on the label and kept it fairly basic but not easy to free hand paint the lettering.  Actually took a photo of a Centos SM can, Trader Joes California Estate EVO bottle and of course garlic clove to base my painting on so I could see shadows and reflections etc.

Thanks Giggliato.
Now contemplating new pie related subject matter to paint.  Day job is always in the way of my other hobbies.   ;D
