The way he said it in the video was so convincing that it kind of caught me off guard.

One should probably not be swayed based on how convincingly a salesman speaks.

It would seem Jeff seeks to join the ranks of used car and infomercial salesmen...

Since you posted under the Ask the Dough Doctor board, you might want to go over to the PMQ Think Tank forum, at http://thinktank.pmq.com/viewforum.php?f=6, and do a forum search there using the terms bromate and Lehmann. You will get several hits. An example of one of Tom's posts on this subject, which also discusses the bromate-to-bromide view that Steve alluded to in his last post, is at http://thinktank.pmq.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=10686&p=73845&hilit=#p73845.

As I understand it from another post by Tom on this subject, the AIB, where Tom works, has the latest official update on the use of potassium bromate. If Tom sees this thread, he might comment on the availability of  the current materials at AIB on this subject.
