Fimar Micro1C Pizza Oven
« on: April 05, 2013, 01:13:14 AM »
Hi team. Anyone heard of this oven ? Anyone used one or seen any reviews ? They retail at 329 + vat and advertise they crank up to 500 degs C ? Sounds to good to be true but can't find anything on them except the the company write up.

Hi,

one user: La mia creatura (forno FIMAR MICRO)

It's a good oven but you should look at the EffeUno P134h ver PDF with a top heating element of 1700W.

mail directly EffeUno

they build them on demand (3-4 weeks delay) and sent it to you.

For me it's the best home oven on the market for Neapolitan Style without mods, you can see the build quality here:

I have access to a FIMAR Micro 1c.

I usually operate at 425C (top), 300C (bottom), this'll cook an average Margherita in about 120 seconds.

The oven can be used from a regular socket; no need to hardwire it.

There's at least one online supplier in the UK. To the best of my knowledge, they'll ship to mainland UK free of charge.

I am in the UK and bought a P134H. Did everything via email with EffeUno directly by email. They were very responsive, and the total cost including delivery was 425 ( I gave them a VAT number - so no VAT payable). Delivery was about 4 weeks or so, shipped on a pallet and very well packaged.

It's a great oven - hits well over 450C and can cook a Neapolitan style pizza in 60-90 seconds easily. I am currently making slightly more New York-ish type dough and am cooking those for 2 minutes at a lower temp.

Has anybody in the US bought an Effeuno P134H and if so how did you supply power to it?  I just got one (intercepted by a friend in London) and now I have to deal with wiring for US power supply.  TIA!

Finally dialing in correct temps on the new oven, Effeuno P134H. Cook times are ranging between 60-90 seconds (shorter based on lower hydration). Temps are averaging 800 base/900 roof. Leoparding is coming across nicely now (marinara pie). I make about 2 pies a day. The oven is very powerful and a bit like Will Ferrell's character during childhood in Talladega Nights, "I wanna go fast, I wanna go fast, I wanna go fast" so it has taken a bit of fine tuning!

How did you end up supplying power to the oven?

Hey hockeyfox. I got an electrician to come out and put a dedicated 220v outlet in w a 30a fuse. The machine is 50/60hz and it doesn't turn a motor so I had no problem there. The guy cut the male end of the plug off and connected the wires inside to a US male plug that he got from Home Depot. I prob could have done the whole thing myself but I shy away from electricity based projects.

Hi BKLEBS,

After much deliberation and quite a few mails over 9 months with Linda from Effuano, I finally paid the bank transfer for an oven today.  All being well it should be delivered by the end of the month or thereabouts. Really looking forward to it arriving so will be looking for tips and tricks from fellow users. Any advice welcome!

Swatson, very happy with my purchase. Let's discuss temp settings etc after you get your machine. I have not altered the governor on the machine, cooking 800ish base, 900ish on top. Congrats on your purchase!!
