Thanks for the heads up!  This should be interesting... if I only got the "Cooking" Channel.   :'(  Too cheap to pay an extra $10 a month for it...

Thanks for posting, Scott!  I'm looking forward to watching it.  I've been to most if not all the West coast places mentioned.  I'm especially interested in the Portland segments because on my last trip there, I hit Apizza Scholls the first night and Lovely's the second.  Loved Brian and everything at his place.  But Lovely's was one of the two best pizza restaurants I've ever enjoyed, and was the closest comp to my own pizzas that I've experienced.  I'm trying to plan another Portland trip soon and will be heading straight back there.

Is the "Cooking Channel" and the Food Network the same? Having a hard time finding a listing on the Food Network.

Unfortunately no... the Cooking channel is a separate channel, one that only comes at a higher package price (wish DISH at least).  Food network's short channel name is FOOD while Cooking channel is COOK.

Sometime the "On Demand" feature has shows you can view for free, Cooking Channel being one of them (at least for me). Give it a try, you may be in luck.

Checked it out last night and liked it. Saw some great pizzas and the hosts kept it on the light side. The bacon on the first segment made me take an extra statin pill.   :D

I think the show was pretty good.  It did justice to a couple great pizza makers who maybe well known here, but are nobodies in the rest of the world.  Considering the general public considers people like Mario Batali and Jamie Oliver pizza experts a show like this getting the real A listers in the public eye can only be a positive.

I just watched doing a search on Comcast. I liked it a lot. The hosts were a bit hammy but aside from that it was pretty good.

Patrick,

I also enjoy watching those masters at work.  :P I might be going to see Trenton Bill for this coming weekend.  I don't know if you saw the Pizza Cuz show last evening, but Papa's Tomato Pies in Trenton, NJ was one of the pizzerias.  I might get to watch how Tomato Pies are made in person.  Papa's has been around for 100 years.  I think that is a long time.

That mustard pie sounded really interesting.. I don't know if I would order one for myself but I would definitely give it a try.  I really really want that detroit style Sicilian though.  I love some NY style pizza but Buddy's looked really good.  Anyone ever been there?  They have a bunch of locations in Michigan. :pizza:

Norma,

That was fun to watch. Those two cuzzes are funny! But they get right to the heart of the matter and show some interesting stuff. For pizza fanatics, you know we'd al be fine with an hour episode on each place, but for the general population I can see why they have to have three places in one episode.

Can you please be sure to tell us when you are going to be featured!!
