Try thinly sliced fresh jalapeņos.  They tend to be a bit hotter when used fresh.  For a milder bite, roast them on your grill, in your oven, or on your stovetop (if you have a gas stove), then peel off the charred skin and chop them.  There's no vinegar and no pickle flavor when you use fresh or roasted.

Whenever I'm using pickled jalapeņos, which is rare, I rinse them first then blot them dry in order to get rid of as much of the vinegar taste as possible.

Thanks I have used pickled peppers before
But never with this bad of flavor
Will try the fresh thanks
Ps. How about fresh mushrooms ?
I usually use canned. My luck with fresh is they burn like
Maybe I should put them under the cheese!
Thanks marvo

I prefer to lightly saute fresh mushrooms in butter before adding to the pizza.  I just like the buttery flavor.

I like pickled jalapenos on nachos with canned cheese but not much else.
Pizza is not bread.

Try them the next time you make armadillo eggs, Craig, I had some this weekend done that way and they were great.  I always use fresh japs on pizza though.
