Anybody missing their 6 foot albino peacock? This one came wandering around our house at dusk today.

It's not albino. It's leucistic, and they are bred to be white.

They are good eating by the way...

How many folks have the opportunity to  make a peacock pizza walk up to their front door?  ;D

Leuko/albuus-white, chloro-green, cyano-blue, chromo-color, erythro-red, melan-black, xanth-yellow.....love this stuff. Most medical terminology suffixes and prefixes are from Greek and Latin roots. It's one of the things when going to respiratory school I didn't have to study, it just clicked. Wish the rest of it just clicked, had to work my ass off.....but, now I digress, and that was 23 years ago ???

Did you end up taking this thing down? We would've made that into dinner after a few days of giving the owner time to find it. LOL.

Kate,

Reading your posts and all the things you are willing to eat, is it possible that you are related to Craig? You might check out one of those genealogy websites :-D.

OK... mystery has been solved. This beastie belongs to our neighbor. I'm thinking that putting it on the menu would probably mess up a good friendship... even if we invited them over to share ;D.

They sound like babies screaming.  There used to be some in the neighborhood and I would have killed them given the chance.
