What is the time frame for cool down of these ovens? i see how you can transport them around and was wondering how this can be done after use.

In my experience the inside of the oven stays hot for a fairly long time, but the outside is much cooler. I have tested the outside temp while baking and if I remember correctly it was at least 200F cooler than the inside floor temp, perhaps more. If you are going to transport while it is hot, not recommended, keep it away from any flamible objects and or put a suitable insulting blanket around it. Safety is always a prime directive.

How would you be transporting it? Either way, you'll have to be sure to remove all coals/ashes before moving. I don't think you need to worry about the outside temp of the oven.

i would use the stand they have our something like it. im guessing you could probably lift it into a truck bed by the time you breakdown the stand.

It is certainly light enough for two people to move, even with the refractory bricks inside. I just got the oven, but I've already been asked to make pizza for a rehearsal dinner off-site. I'm not worried about transport at all, I think it would be very convenient for a catering business.
