Your thoughts on branding a brewpub / pizza joint...
« on: April 29, 2013, 07:25:31 PM »
I'm soliciting advice & reasoning for how a brewpub / pizza joint would be branded the best:

A) everything branding as one

B) individual branding (establishment name separate from that of beer name & pizza name)

C) establishment name & 1 product share name while other product has different name

Thoughts?

Thanks for the response. I'm going to do a little research on them and see if I can find anything useful.

6 million?? That's it?? JK!!

Freetail Brewing is a place out of San Antonio. Might give you a little more help in finding your answers.

'& amp'... I dunno. Something to do with symbols... something. I dunno.

I'm in the Philadelphia suburbs. Unfortunately, my handle is also my hobby. Fun, but I pay for it on the scale. :)

amp = ampersand; the name of the '&' symbol and used in writing code. Why it shows up I don't know, for I am not typing it, but I have a funny feeling that you already know that ;)

Haha, it's all good, Bob. But now that I've been in the forum this evening and thinking about pizza... I'm hungry! Research is over for the day!

Where in the Philly burbs, PizzaBinge? I'm from Philly but live outside of Coatesville and work in KOP. As an ex-homebrewer and current home-pizza addict, your concept is intruiging :)

Seven, I actually live in Downingtown and work in Coatesville. Small world. I've been putting a lot of thought into the concept, especially as it relates to what type of ambiance I'd like to offer and location, but I have to admit that I've been too intimidated to start compiling information that would give me an idea of start-up costs, but I'll get to it.

What type of pizzas do you make? How was your experience with home brewing?

Thanks, PB. Definitely a small world...my wife's family owned a pizza shop in Downingtown years ago. I typically make NY style pies although I do on occasion make a big old Sicilian pizza. I recently started baking on a 1/2 aluminum plate and am very happy with the results and the quick 4:00 minute bake times. I haven't brewed in probably 6 years since I got married and moved into a house. Between mowing, gardening, work and housework, I'm finding it a bit difficult to squeeze another hobby in, especially considering a brewing session could take 6 hours. I loved homebrewing and loved drinking the beer even more! Although I drink cheap sometimes (OK, most times), I have pretty expensive beer tastes, so brewing enabled me to go a bit crazy and make something I wouldn't ordinarily buy.

Please keep me (and the site) informed if you decide to pursue! There's not enough good pizza in Chester County!

Seven, I'm totally feeling the restrictions that yard work, house work, etc. place on you! I'll let you know how things progress with pursuing a business; I have a lot of research left to do. Also, since we're from the same area you might be interested in checking out a pizza review blog I recently started.
