Hi, folks! My name is Jim, and I took up residence here in the Sacramento area of California after having been a native of New York (NYC, Long Island, and upstate) for most of my life. I miss the pizza I used to eat in Queens, which is pretty much the prototypical NY pizza, and it wasn't until I went to Italy -- specifically, Naples -- that I managed to taste once more the same kind of pizza I grew up with. And as I bit into that brick-oven marvel, I realized that the folks who had been baking the pizzas I had loved as a kid were all from this area, having emigrated to NY after WWII.
My goal is to make that NY neo-Napolitano style pizza, and I've come close. I just came across this board, so it's time to start another adventure.
