Freezing cheese takes away the ability to stretch and string.  Anyone else notice this?

I've been solely using that Luigi Mozz made by Roma foods and it strings beautifully.  After frozen however.....nada.

I haven't noticed that.   If there is a difference it doesn't appear to be significant to me.

STRING cheese? I think the stetch part comes after it is hot.

I'm sure pythonic is referring to melted cheese that stretches and then leaves "strings" trailing away from it...picture a good DD pie slice just cut and being pulled away....

I eat my pizza scalding hot.  Freezer is definitely effecting this cheese at least.  Maybe revised theory is some or most cheeses are effected by it.

I think you're right. Do you want to start a list of cheeses that are affected?
