Jon, thanks for taking the time to look, but, from the photo Diana took in the middle of the link you posted, a chile horn appears to be some kind of musical instrument (as in 'blow your horn')

Custom made powder horn that I use for aleppo chile powder.  Yes, I am a strange one.  I prefer aleppo to black powder.  The horn was made for me by a dear friend and has never seen black powder.  He's okay with that though, because he loves my food as much as his guns.  I have another horn from him that I haven't filled yet.  I need to find a chile that is worthy. ;)

This particular horn was boiled to mold it flat and then hand carved, so yes it's a bit different than your traditonal powder horns.  It's a work of art and you guys should see the tomahawk he gave me.  Exquisite craftmanship done with such old school techniques.  The guy also does some beautiful leather work, too.

A gunpowder horn used for chile pepper?  That's awesome! So, Jon was right.

Guns and aleppo chiles? When's Craig's birthday? I think I found the perfect gift  ;D

Yeesh, Jon, you're not giving me much time here.  How can I kill a bull and carve up one of it's horns by Friday? Unless... can I take a horn from a bull without killing it? Do you think the bull would mind? I'll have to do some research on that  ;D

Well, I do happen to have a spare horn. ^^^  You guys should see the tomahawk he gave me.  Hand forged, and the handle is made out of tigermaple.  He hand carved it and it was smoothed out with bone--no sandpaper.
