How do you clean used pizza pans
« on: August 16, 2013, 07:37:01 PM »
Hope someone can help.

I got some used deep dish pizza pans well seasoned, but need a cleaning. They have that oil gone bad smell and are sticky to the touch.
They have potential, but I doubt that a regular liquid soap will cut it.

Peter,
thank you for the link. I ordered the Carbon-Off and I'll try that out.
Got rid of the rancid smell and some of the build up off by soaking the pans in a sink of hot water, boiled water and cascade powder.
But there's still a thick layer of the crud that needs something stronger.

Thanks again,
