"Crustless Pizza"
« on: June 09, 2010, 09:05:53 AM »
I don’t know if anyone will want to try these recipes, since they are about “Crustless pizza”, but this article was in our local newspaper on Sunday.  At least a way to get children to eat vegetables and they call it “Crustless Pizza”

I came across this recipe for "crustless" pizza by Robyn Markham.  The ultimate "emergency" pizza?

Crust
1 (8 oz) package of full fat cream cheese, room temperature
2 eggs
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

Topping
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
toppings - pepperoni, ham, sausage, mushrooms, peppers
Garlic powder

Preheat oven to 350.

Lightly spay a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray. With a handheld mixer, mix cream cheese, eggs, pepper, garlic powder and parmesan cheese until combined. Spread into baking dish. Bake for 12-15 minutes, our until golden brown. Allow crust to cool for 10 minutes.

Spread pizza sauce on crust. Top with cheese and toppings. Sprinkle pizza with garlic powder. Bake 8-10 minutes, until cheese is melted.
Things have never been more like today than they are right now.

Jonas,

The recipe you provided for a crustless pizza sounds good.  Are you going to be the first member to try it?  ;D  I wonder how the cream cheese mixed with the Parmesan cheese wouldn't brown too much.

How about a Neapolitan version that cooks in <90 seconds.
Science, better than making stuff up since well forever.

Kevin,

:-D  Those Neapolitan ones are harder than that.

Interesting to see this.  Just yesterday I was reading about a carbless bread made from eggs and cream cheese.  There has got to be an easier way to lose weight than carbless bread.   :-D

Chau,

If you read about a carbless bread I guess that recipe would work with eggs, cream cheese and Parmesan cheese.  I agree that there has to be an easier way to lose weight other than a carbless bread.    :P

Guess we won't be seeing any crumb shot or upskirt pic ?    ;D
