What's Burning For Happy Pappy's Day?????
« on: June 15, 2013, 03:54:27 PM »
First Happy Pappy's Day to all AND you single mom's that do both!! I think I've settled on doing 3-4 Beer Butt birds in the pit for tomorrow. Haven't had chicken for awhile and the ones in the pit are always top notch. What's everyone else going to burn??? :)

Well, Jon, it looks like you figured out a game plan to follow up your awesome surf and turf from the other day.  I love beer can chicken.  Here's one from a year and a half ago--I called it Phoenix Rising.  I just may have to make beer can chicken tomorrow!

Here's some beer can soldiers standing at attention in my pit from a couple years ago. Tomorrow will be similar with a spicy lemon pepper rub, some hot sauce and blue cheese dressing to dip and swirl the goods!!

Yum, love pit roasted/smoked fish!! Now the hard part for me, birds are done, turned the pit off to let them hold for an hour or so while I finish up the work bench I'm building
