Just left The Grand Hotel at Mackinac island. Room for three nights at 900 per night, with "gourmet meal in elegant dining hall every night. Dinners not worth two cents, and we needed pizza to ruscusitate us. Timing was not good for Supino in Detroit, so we went to Il pizzaiola in Pittsburgh at Market Square. Pulled in at 9PM. Wow, this place is upscale, swanky and stylish! Ron not in tonite but his oven man shows me the beautiful oven which he said an Italian artisan came over to build. He states he can cook seven pies at one time! He did not have a stick man yesterday and did our four together. Pizza was excellent - bakes were around 90 to 100 seconds. One of my kids said "the best ever" . Another noticed a crust that was a bit too thick in areas for her liking. IMHO the irregular shape of the pies was a bit extreme and may be the reason. Look at pics. All in all, excellent pies. Could use some additional creative topping in "white pie" choices, but will return!
