Canadians: Where do you buy pizza tools ?
« on: February 14, 2006, 01:06:37 PM »
HI guys,

Jut wondering if anyone can tell me where you buy your pizza tools ?

like pizza stones, pizza peels (paddles ) , dough dockers etc, and pans ?

I'm in Canada, so put Canadians in my subject line to get a bit of attention,
but if you're in the States and have a good place please let me know, as I believe
there are no real places in Canada to buy pizza supplies ( from a real pizza supply store I mean )

Thanks in advance.

Mark

ps: I emailed pizzatools.com - but they don't sell to the public, from the email I got, they only
serve companies ( they also took about 5 days to get back to my inquiry, so that's kind of scary right away )

Mark,

Some time ago, when Canadave was looking for a pizza screen I managed to find this Canadian source of screens and other pizza items: http://www.hendrixequip.com/searchresult.asp?keywords=pizza&find.x=29&find.y=5. I note under the Contact tab there are several stores listed. Maybe they are retail outlets that sell directly to the public.

I don’t recall where in Canada you live, but this link might help you find sources of pizza gear in your area: http://www.edmonton.servpro.ca/can/canindex.php?provName=ALBERTA&prov=AB. What you would perhaps want to be looking for is restaurant supply companies.

As far as pizzatools is concerned, unless they have changed their policy, I believe that they will sell to individuals who use their online website. They will not sell to individuals over the phone. I believe pizzatools is in the state of Washington but I don’t know if they ship to Canada.

Mark,

Canadave was on the forum for a spell toward the end of the year. He posted a very good NY style pizza recipe at http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php/topic,2175.0.html.

Hi Mark, yes we will be defending our championship,we were the winners of the Canadian bbq Associations annual challenge. So that puts us in 5 Canadian contests. Our U.S contests have not been decided on as of yet but we usually make it to 4 or 5 KCBS events. That along with catering and charitable events eats up alot of time, and resources.
Mark we are already trying some  new recipes for this season, along with fine tuning others, but as always PIZZA is one of the dishes we love to use as a side when possible, also like to feed the other teams some za on the friday night before the comp.
