Hi from South Florida
« on: July 03, 2013, 08:28:28 AM »
I'd like to say hi to everybody. I'm from South Florida and I can't begin to explain my relationship with pizza. My grandfather "Chef Tony Romano" opened and operated many pizza restaurants across the USA so I was no stranger to pizza. I have my own 48" wood burning brick pizza oven that I built about 3 years ago. Besides having my own oven I also enjoy sampling the pizza from as many restaurants as I can. Currently my local favorite is Scuola Vecchia in Delray beach fl. I will be in NYC next week and I will have a few free days and plan on just going to as many Pizza places as I can. I'm definitely going to Keste which Scuola Vecchia was modeled on. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! ---- Larry---

Larry,

Since NYC is such a popular pizza destination, you might want to check out the threads on the Pizzeria/Restaurant Recommendations board at http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php/board,66.0.html. You can even post your request on that board if you'd like. You can also find reviews of NYC pizza establishements by scanning the Pizzeria & Restaurant Reviews board at http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php/board,3.0.html,

And welcome to the forum.

Peter

Thanks Peter! I just checked out Coppertop's and Norma427,s posts on the same subject. Very useful threads with plenty of info. I'm also considering going on Scott's tour just to get some history in.
