I grew up in a MW house that had a tiny jar of Hellmans in the fridge. I was the mayo person. There's something too sweet about MW for me.
On a somewhat related note, I spent a semester in England back in the 80s. The family I lived with didn't keep salad dressings or their version of MW in the fridge. It freaked me right out. They thought I was odd for just having vinegar and oil on salad. Thoughts, anyone as to why they didn't get sick? For me, if there is anything possibly off about any food, I'm going down, unlike my husband who has a cast iron stomach.
