On those rare occasions that we fix bacon, even though we love it, we will make two extra pieces to put in the freezer for a 16” pizza. We usually buy Wright’s Hickory smoked bacon but last time we tried Smithfield’s Maple flavored bacon.
When my wife and I took our first bite of my thin crust we looked at each other trying to figure out the odd flavor. The next bite confirmed it. Odd that flavoring they used permeated all of the crust.
The dogs had a lot of pizza that night.
