Neapolitan pizza in Venice/N Italy?
« on: July 22, 2013, 06:51:19 PM »
I'm headed to Northern Italy in a few months, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on Neapolitan style pizza places.

We can't fit a trip down to Naples, so I was wondering if people had recommendations in Venice, or even more north in the Dolomites (Bolzen, Cortina, etc,.).  I understand that Venice has a ban on wood fired ovens on the island.

I enjoyed the pizza at the Grotto restaurant just a few steps from Piazza San Marco along the Rio Canonica Palazzo.

This place in Venice was the best pizza we had in Italy. Didn't go to Naples .
