My attempt at a deep dish....
« on: July 29, 2013, 01:29:30 PM »
Well i used the dough recipe that I use for all my pies... 48 hours slow rise in frig...

Pull out and put oil in pan flatten dough out somewhat let rise... push more toward edges.... flatten out again push toward edges... top with sauce and cheese and toppings and here is what I got... kids and wife loved it... I was not a fan of the dough... still need to work on it.. want it crispier all the way around... maybe temps need to rise in the oven.. baked at 450* for about 13 minutes....

Sorry forgot to take pic of sliced piece....

Papa john clone sauce... cause we like it....with extra salt added cause the wife said so... :o :o got to keep her happy right!!

Hope you enjoy!

I'd say you're well on your way, may need a little more baking time to crisp it up to your liking. From the number of posts you have made my guess is you are fairly new around here. Look up some of the threads about Detroit style pizza, and especially some from member @Norma. She will show you some great looking pies in the style you are after.
