The best way to do that is to open another browser window, go to the message in question, click "quote" to reply to the message, copy the text, then paste it into the message that you're composing in the first browser window.

I'm actually trying to link to the actual thread to a specific reply #, not just quote them.....

Your post is timely because I see from time to time that some of our members do not know how to link directly to another thread. Several years ago, I posted on this subject at http://www.pizzamaking.com/forum/index.php/topic,3249.msg27461.html#msg27461. What I posted there does not work the same today because of the recent change in the forum software. Today, you have to click directly on the topic heading itself and then proceed as discussed. At least that is the way I do it.
