Whole Foods Mozzarella curd

Went to Whole Foods last week and bought some Maplebrook Mozzarella Curd.  I think they only carry it seasonally.  I highly recommend people try it (its actually fairly priced) if they get a change.  They sell it in small blocks so you can get it for about 5 bucks a pop.  It makes a very creamy delicate mozzarella with great flavor. 

Maplebrook is an organic dairy farm in Vermont that makes some great cheeses.

BenLee, I have never made my own mozz but I am willing top give it a go if.... With only two eating pizza in my family, i find that the shelf life on the fresh mozz is rather short and not always eaten in time. Does the mozz curd you speak of have the same short shelf life or is it longer due to the fact that the cheese is yet unmade? And can I make small amounts of mozz successfully?

That is great news, as curd is so hard to find, and having it shipped costs a fortune. Did you find the curd in the cheese department, or have to ask for it specifically? I have not seen it there in the past, but will check this weekend.
