Anyone in Jersey/Tri State Area?
« on: August 10, 2013, 12:43:30 PM »
Hey Everyone,
Glad to have found this great forum.

I'm a pizzaiolo originally from Morocco, lived and worked in Italy (Naples then Florence) as a wood-fired pizzaiolo for about 9 years, now I'm living in New Jersey. I'm looking into opening a wood-fired pizzeria, and would be very interested in talking with anyone who might want to partner in this endeavor. I'd also love to hear from anyone in the area who's done it already. I think there are a lot of untapped geographic markets here, though I realize many areas are saturated and I would obviously avoid those areas.

Anyway I'm mainly looking to connect with anyone, in this area or otherwise, who is also thinking about opening a pizzeria.
Thanks,
Kamal

Thanks for replying! I'm in central NJ, near Flemington/Lambertville.

Yeah, I know of Nomad - we went by one day but you were closed. Your pizzas look beautiful on the website and I've heard great things about the restaurant in Hopewell.

Chaze, where in Jersey Shore are you? Are you talking about a pizza truck?
We love LBI and I don't think they've got any neapolitan pizza yet - thought that might be an idea.

I'd be nervous to compete with the high amounts of pizzerias popping up in Jersey now.
Dough, stretch, sauce, cheese; check.

Kamal, I'm in Toms River. I have a mobile unit on a trailer, not a truck. Let me know if I can help you in any way.

well I'm not sure if you're still looking to open a place but I am and I could use someone with expertise are you still interested in starting a pizza place?I live in an untapped area and the town I live in is a hub for neighboring towns, I believe there's great potential here.

Kamal, within the past several years, 2 legendary pizza shops (DeLrenzo's and Papa's) have moved to Robbinsville NJ. They are within half a mile of each other and both make a similar Trenton style Tomato Pie.  This area in Robbinsville is now a HOT LOCATION for pizza because people already come from all over to get some of the best pizza made on earth. The closest Neapolitan style pizza shop (The Vault) is brand new in Bordentown about 7 miles south.

Bottom line, the Robbinsville area could use a new Neapolitan style pizza shop.
