Hey guys!

I've been making my own pizza for awhile using pizza stones.  I recently picked up a cast iron pizza pan and came across this site because I don't know how to best utilize it.  Do I have to preheat the pan?  Can I build the pie directly on the room temperature pan and stick in the preheated oven?  Looks like you all have plenty of information for me to catch up on...

From one 123 to another, welcome to the forum  ;D

You'll want to pre-heat your cast iron pan on the highest temp your oven can go and launch the pizza by sliding it off a wooden peel.
