Yes you do need liability insurance
« on: August 31, 2013, 10:04:20 AM »
Seems like I remember a few folks here asking if they need liability insurance for their delivery drivers - yes you do.

"HOUSTON—A jury has awarded $32 million to the family of a Southeast Texas couple involved in a deadly crash with a Domino’s Pizza delivery driver."

;DWho said California is the capitol of lawsuits?

I guess the big corporate insurance attorneys thought they could steamroll the backwoods lawyers for the plaintiff.   A settlement would likely been a couple mil based on what I've seen for PL cases. Rule #1 for big corporations being sued: don't go to court.  Rule #2: Nobody is sympathetic to a big corporation.  Rule #3: Dead and severely injured people win in court.

BBQ Chuck, Sounds like you know what you are talking about.  As a plaintiff's lawyer my best results have come about because insurance companies refuse to be fair to regular working people.  I am a firm believer in the common sense of jurors.
