Box 2 (138 lbs in addition to the 64lbs yesterday) arrived this evening. We must be the LAST stop on my UPS guy's route! The bottom part of the oven came fully assembled and I just had to put the axle, wheels, handle, and stones in their proper places. The whole thing is thickstainless, non-brushed (which I like), and fit together perfectly. No cracked stones here.
After fiddling with the regulator I dialed in the Venturi at the back so as to get a ROARING flame and this thing was ready to go. Bottom stone up to 800 within 10-15 mins. Wasn't planning on baking, but when the kids came home from lacrosse and dance, they would not be denied so out came the 56 degree dough, and we proceeded to make a margherita and pepperoni pie.
You can time it yourself in the video, but it was QUICK. No oven spring to speak of (due to sleepy/cold dough) but excellent leoparding and no burnt spots on bottom. The pies were gone in seconds.
Cannot wait to see what this thing will do with good dough tomorrow night.
